Creating a Workflow Template
A workflow template consists of a combination of predefined process nodes. To create a new workflow template, open the Workflow Template Administration utility and click the new template icon on the table toolbar.
The workflow template editor opens with a Start icon in the window. You can begin to build a workflow template by dragging process nodes from the navigation bar at the left side of the window and filling in their details.
To create a workflow template, the following steps must be completed. Each step requires more detailed information:
1. Define the overall workflow template properties, such as the template name, expression variables, notification options, roles, and more. For more information about defining properties, see Activity and Process Properties.
2. Begin building your template by adding process nodes. This is where you can add activities to the workflow. For more information, see Workflow Editor Nodes.
3. Link nodes to determine the sequences of activity execution. For more information, see Process Action Links.
4. Define properties for individual nodes. For more information, see Activity and Process Properties.
5. Test your workflow using the Initiate workflow process action.
These steps do not necessarily need to be completed in the order provided above.
