Install the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module
The Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module supports two languages: English and French. Install the module on a server with a locale set to one of these languages.
To install Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module:
1. Locate the Windchill installation folder structure that you unzipped from the delivery media. For example:
D:\Installers\Windchill\<Version Number>
2. Locate the Windchill product solution installer folder (PTCSolnInstaller.xx). in the folder structure. For example:
D:\Installers\Windchill\<Version Number>\PTCSolnInstaller.01
3. Open a Command Prompt window.
4. Locate the setup.vbs file in the Windchill product solution installation folder. For example:
D:\Installers\<Version Number>\PTCSolnInstaller.01>setup.vbs

This procedure is for a Windows installation. For Linux, the installation file is setup.

5. Start the PTC Solution Installer (PSI) by running the setup.vbs file.
6. Progress through the installer to Install Type Options.
7. Click Solution.
The installer moves on to the Select Product ... section.
8. Check the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) products that you want to install.
9. Click Next.
10. Locate the Service Modules section.
11. Ensure Windchill Service Information Manager is selected.
12. Under Windchill Service Information Manager, select Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.

• The Windchill Platform Structures module must be installed to enable the S1000D applicability features provided by the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module. You must select Windchill Platform Structures to enable selection of Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.
• The Windchill Index Search add-on must be installed to enable S1000D TIR/CIR features provided by the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.

13. Progress through to the end of the installer.
When complete, Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module is installed on your Windchill server.
