Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module
The Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module is an optional Windchill component that provides support for S1000D Issue 4.0.1, 4.1, and 4.2 data in a Windchill environment.

The Windchill Platform Structures module must be installed to enable the S1000D applicability features provided by the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module. You must select Windchill Platform Structures in the installer to enable selection of Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.
The Windchill Index Search add-on must be installed to enable S1000D TIR/CIR features provided by the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.
The Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module supports two languages: English and French. Install the module on a server with a locale set to ones of these languages.
You must install the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module on the Windchill server, and the client software on all the client Arbortext Editor or Arbortext Publishing Engine workstations that connect to the server.
Both installation phases, unless otherwise noted, are required for new and existing installations.
Once the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module has been installed on the server, there are some post-installation stages.
