Viewing Windchill MPMLink Objects in Creo View
Windchill MPMLink objects can be viewed in the Creo View explorer, and can then be annotated. Viewing these objects is useful if, for example, you would like to perform a manufacturing analysis, or to explore different manufacturing options.
To view objects in the Creo View explorer:
1. Select the object you would like to open in the Creo View explorer.
2. Click the open in Creo View icon .
The selected objects appear in the Creo View explorer.
*
If an operation was selected and the operation has no representation associated with it, the geometry for that operation’s allocated parts and resources are displayed. If a resource was selected, and no representation is associated with it, the representation of the part associated with it is opened.
Selecting in Explorers
The Creo View explorer allows you to quickly and easily navigate to objects displayed in its structure or viewer, and their corresponding locations in other Windchill MPMLink explorers. This is useful, for example, if you have several hundred parts displayed in the Creo View explorer, and you would like to quickly find their location in the Manufacturing Product Structure Explorer.
To use Creo View to select objects in other explorers use the following procedure:
1. In the Creo View explorer select the objects you would like to open in another explorer.
2. From the context menu, select Select In Explorer. The Select In Explorer window appears.
3. Select the explorer you would like to highlight the selected objects in.
4. Click OK.
The selected objects are highlighted and centered in the navigation pane of the appropriate Windchill MPMLink explorer.
