Entering Takt Times
Takt times represent the daily production number required to meet orders in hand, divided into the number of working hours in the day. The maximum time allowed to produce one unit of a product in order to meet the demand. For example, if 30 units are needed to be delivered in 30 days, the Takt time would be 1, using a daily rate, or 1/24 using an hourly rate.
To enter a Takt time:
1. Select View > Takt Time > Set Up Takt Time.
2. Enter a Takt time, in minutes, in the Enter Takt Time dialog box.
3. Click OK.
*
To turn off Takt times, select View > Takt Time > Turn Off Takt Time.
