Windchill can be configured to use Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication, allowing participation in a single sign-on federation.

A Windchill configuration using Shibboleth Service Provider to enable SAML authentication has been tested and documented. This configuration is only to establish Windchill as a service provider within a SAML single sign-on (SSO) federation and does not address how to establish an identity provider. Windchill administrators will need to consult with local SAML experts or their identity provider administrator to integrate Windchill into a SAML SSO federation or to configure Windchill for a SAML service provider other than Shibboleth.
