To enable the usage of a connected asset with Connected Field Service, the asset must be configured with the following required ThingShapes and ThingTemplates. This topic provides information on the ThingShapes and ThingTemplates required for PTC Remote Service.

To enable an asset to work with the ThingWorx Workflow Manager, the asset must add the PTC.BPE.BusinessProcessManageable shape to its list of implemented shapes.

To enable an asset to work with the Connected Diagnostics solution, the asset must inherit from the PTC.CSLM.SKD.DiagnosticsAware template.

To enable an asset to support remote access and file transfers, the asset must inherit from the TW.RSM.Template.AssetWithTunnelsAndFileTransfer template.
