SD_FILING_TOP_LEVEL_INSTANCE_FILES specifies whether or not the commands SAVE_SD and SAVE_SD_MODIFIED write instance files for top-level instances.
----(SD_FILING_TOP_LEVEL_INSTANCE_FILES)--+--(:NO)---+----> | | +--(:YES)--+
This mode (sometimes referred to as mixed mode) is like specifying contents-files only mode, except that instance information is written for top-level objects. This means that instance information can be preserved for these objects.
OneSpace Designer writes contents files only. The instance information of objects not at the top level (for example, parts contained in an assembly) is stored in the contents file of the owning object.
The default setting is stored in the environment file. The setting can be changed in the Save 3D dialog window by clicking the checkbox Top-level instances files. However, this does not affect the default setting.
