Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is the engineering standard used to describe the form fit and function of the features of a part. Represented as tolerances, these relations describe a feature's relationship to other features as well as other parts.
This reference guide is intended to supplement "Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.5M - 1994" and limits its focus to concepts found in the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling GD&T module. For more indepth clarification or for topics not found, please refer to the ASME standard.
The figures and illistrations found in this document are intended to aid in the understanding of GD&T principles and methods. Figures may have added emphasis or may be incomplete. These figures should not be used used as a basis for design or for the acceptance or rejection of componants.
