Using Mouse Buttons in CATIA V5–Compatible Navigation Mode
When using the CATIA V5 Compatible Navigation mode, consider the following guideline:
The mouse actions require holding the middle button and toggling the left button, right button, or the CTRL key, whichever you find more convenient (Called side button in this table).
Action
Result
Click.
Selects a part or geometry within a part.
Middle-click and drag.
Press and hold a side button, then middle-click and drag.
Pans the structure.
Release the mouse buttons and start again.
Returns to pan mode from rotation or zoom mode.
Press or release the side button.
Toggles between rotation and zoom mode.
Middle-click, press a side button and drag.
Rotates the structure.
In rotation mode, release the side button, and then drag.
Zooms in or out.
Drag up to zoom in
Drag down to zoom out
