Example: Command-line Syntax and Arguments
The command-line syntax includes the following arguments:
[—h] [—v] [—baseline <input file> -current <input file> -o <output file> [—type <EDMD:EDMD2>] [-config <input file> : —preset <preset config name>] [-ignore] ]
Argument
Description
-h
Help—Displays a description of the commands.
-v
Version—Displays the Creo View releases. This argument is optional.
-baseline <file>
First input file for the comparison. Corresponds to the First Item.
-current <file>
Second input file for the comparison. Corresponds to the Second Item.
-o <file>
Creates the output IDX file.
-type <EDMD:EDMD2>
Specifies the default format for the output to be EDMD format. This argument is optional.
-config <file>
Specifies a custom configuration file for the comparison. The file name must include the XML or IDX extension. This option is available only for pre-existing configuration files.
-preset <preset config name>
Specifies a default preset configuration file as defined in GUI mode.
Use this option for newly created configurations.  Create a preset config in the UI and then use its name in command line.
—ignore
Ignore warnings and continue the comparison.
