Functions Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to create a new function or copy, edit, or delete a selected function. The type of function that you can define depends upon the area of Creo Simulate that you are working in.
The dialog box lists all functions of the specified type in your model and contains the following items:
New—Creates a function. The Function Definition dialog box opens.
There is no limit to the number of functions that you can create for a given model.
Copy—Copies the function you select from the list. The Copy Function dialog box opens, displaying the name of the selected function. Use the default or type a name for the copy and click OK. Creo Simulate adds the new name to the list. You cannot copy a system function.
Edit—Edit or review the function you select. The Function Definition dialog box opens, containing the definition you specified for the selected function. You cannot review a system function.
Delete—Deletes the currently selected function. You cannot delete a system function.
The dialog box also contains the following items for material functions:
Open—Opens a function. The Open File dialog box opens. Select the function file from the default directory or any other directory and click OK.
Save a Copy—Save the selected function. The Save As dialog box opens, displaying the name of the selected function. Use the default or specify a name and click OK.
If you had entered a description for a function, it appears in the Description area below the list of functions.
