To Use an External Fatigue Material File in a Fatigue Analysis
1. Set the configuration option sim_fatigue_external_matdata to yes.
2. Define and assign a material to your model.
3. Create one or more external fatigue materials file for your analysis with .mat extension. The name of the external material file must match the name of the material you assigned to your model.
4. Place all the external fatigue material files in your current working directory.

* If you do not perform this step, the system looks for the material file in the directory specified by the sim_fatigue_user_directory configuration option.
5. Create and run a fatigue analysis.
The fatigue analysis uses the material properties specified in the external material fatigue file.
