About Artifact Parameters and Shape Properties
Shapes contain graphical properties such as line style and layer. Artifacts include names and parameters such as current rating and description.
The following figure shows the wiring shape of a normally closed switch (ncc2).
The following figure shows the circuit shape of a normally closed switch (ncc2).
The name, electrical parameters, and logical data of each shape are the same because both shapes represent the same artifact. In other words, there is one artifact (ncc2) from which two shapes have been created—one with a diagram type of Wiring and the other with a diagram type of Circuit. The artifact parameters, together with connectivity data, make up logical data—the information that is exported to and used by Creo Parametric.
