Enhancements to Creo Product Insight Extension Added in Creo Parametric 5.0.1.0
There are enhancements to Creo Product Insight.
Release: Creo Parametric 5.0.1.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
See the list below for a description of enhancements in Creo Product Insight in Creo Parametric 5.0.1.0:
• Mechanism motor support—In Creo Product Insight, interaction with Mechanism table motors is supported. Sensor data can be read into Series parameters. This is a new type of parameter, dedicated to Mechanism motor interaction. You can link the content of the Series parameter to a Mechanism table motor by selecting its PTC_TABLE_PROFILE parameter. The motor table then uses the content of the sensor data list and drives the motor directly with the sensor values. As a result, Mechanism analyses are performed based on sensor data. Using a Motion Analysis feature, virtual sensors automatically report the results from the Mechanism measures into the sensor data table for each time slice. This keeps the analysis results in the context of the sensor input values.
• Virtual sensors—The sensor type, Virtual, is added. Virtual sensors only report analysis results, similar to Calculated sensors. In Calculated sensors, data is calculated in Creo Parametric and then used to drive functions in the model. Virtual sensors do not have any representing geometry or mass properties. Virtual sensors are not listed in the bill of materials nor taken into account during analyses. A Virtual sensor is placed like an annotation and is only visible in the graphics window by its annotation.
• Creo as a Service—You can start a Creo Product Insight analyses from ThingWorx and run Creo as a service without any graphical interaction. From the TW.Creo.Mashup.ReplayManager mashup, the event, analysis model, and data range are selected. This enables Creo Product Insight to silently execute the defined analysis with the selected sensor data and report. The analysis results are then reported from the Virtual sensors directly into the properties of the Thing in ThingWorx.
