About Importing a Drawing File into Sketcher
You can import geometric entities and draft entities of a Creo Parametric drawing file or a DXF drawing file into Sketcher. When you import data from an assembly drawing, you can place the imported entities into one or more sketch groups or draft groups. Similarly, when you import a view from an assembly drawing, you can place the geometric entities corresponding to each part visible in the selected drawing view, into a separate sketch group or draft group. All the model geometric entities and the drawing sketched entities within the selected drawing view are imported into Sketcher. You do not need to convert the model geometric entities to draft entities.
When you import a Creo Parametric file, the drawing opens in a separate window and you are required to select a drawing view to import into Sketcher.
