About Creating Reference Patterns from Pattern Recognition, Symmetry Recognition, Mirror, or Flexible Pattern Features
You can create a reference pattern by referencing the geometry of any of the following features:
Any member of a pattern recognition feature
Any member of a symmetry recognition feature
Any member of a mirror feature created in Creo Flexible Modeling
Any member of a flexible pattern feature created in Creo Flexible Modeling
At the external edges of the feature, where the feature intersects the model, you must select individual intent edges as references. If you select an external edge instead of an external intent edge, you will not be able to create a reference pattern.
External intent edges are created automatically when you create a pattern recognition feature, symmetry recognition feature, mirror feature, or flexible pattern feature in Creo Flexible Modeling.
