About Creating Chamfers
Chamfers intersect and trim other lines. The intersection of the lines are calculated such that the lines do not actually touch. At this intersection point, the chamfer dimensions are applied and the chamfered portion of the lines is discarded.
You can create chamfers using the following on the CHAMFERS menu :
45 x d—Creates a line between two lines, 45 degrees from the first line and of dimension "d" along the first line.
Ang x d—Creates a chamfer using a chamfer dimension at an angle to the reference entity.
d x d—Creates a chamfer using the same dimension value along both of the selected lines.
d1 x d2—Creates a chamfer using a different chamfer dimension for each of the selected lines.
