About Performing Batch Mode Tasks in PTC Windchill Environment
You can perform Creo ModelCHECK Batch mode tasks through Creo Distributed Batch in a Windchill environment. You must configure Creo ModelCHECK , Windchill, and Creo Distributed Batch appropriately for Creo ModelCHECK and Windchill to interact through Creo Distributed Batch.
The following is the outline of the process to perform Creo ModelCHECK tasks when Creo Distributed Batch is configured for use with Creo ModelCHECK and a Windchill server:
Start the Creo Distributed Batch client.
Log on to Windchill. Create and populate a Creo ModelCHECK task group.
Submit the task group to Creo Distributed Batch.
The Creo Distributed Services Manager (DSM) loads the task group in a queue and submits individual task files for processing.
The DSM collects the task information, such as the objects and the configuration files, and copies this information to the local computer on which the Distributed Service is waiting to process the task.
Creo Parametric starts in the nongraphical mode.
Creo ModelCHECK processes the task files in the local cache, stores results based on how the task group is configured, and removes the local cache.
Creo ModelCHECK results and metrics files are written to disk based on the Creo ModelCHECK configuration.
If Creo ModelCHECK and Windchill are configured for shape indexing, shape information is written to the Creo Parametric models and propagated to Windchill as Instance Based Attributes (IBAs).
If Creo ModelCHECK is configured to modify models, these models are written back to Windchill workspace or commonspace, depending on where these models were originally located and based on how the Creo Distributed Batch task group is configured.

* Creo Distributed Batch cannot import files from the disk to a workspace or check in files originating in a workspace to the commonspace.
Creo Parametric notifies DSM about the success or failure of the tasks. The DSM subsequently reports the success or failure status of the tasks to the Creo Distributed Batch client.
