ASME Standards Reference Notes
In order for the designs to be interpreted properly, it is important that the design data includes references to the applicable standards. Designs based on the ASME Y14.5-2009 standard typically require the following standards references:
• ASME14.5-2009 — See paragraph 1.1.3 in that standard
• ASME Y14.41-2012 — See paragraph 1.4 in that standard
In addition, a notation is required that indicates the linear units for the
model (see ASME Y14.5-2009, par. 1.5.3 and ASME Y14.41-2012, par. 6.1.1).
