To Create a Ramp Approach Tool Motion
With this tool motion you can make the tool approach a tool motion (or another approach motion) at an angle into the cut.
1. On the Trajectory, Face, Profile tab, or the tab of any turning step, select Ramp Approach in the Tool Motions list. The Ramp Approach dialog box opens.The dialog box contains the following options:
2. Approach Distance—Enter a value to set the length of the approach move.
3. Entry Angle—Set the angle at which the tool approaches in the plane of the cut.
4. Ramp Angle—set the angle at which the tool plunges into the cut.
5. Click Parameters to edit the tool motion parameters using the Edit Parameters dialog box.
6. Click OK to create the approach motion, or click Cancel to cancel.
