Example: Pencil Tracing for Contact Areas
This example shows how pencil tracing passes are created when the cutter is in contact or not in contact with the reference surfaces.
Without Contact Areas
In this figure, the outer edge of the base surface and the central upstand are machined.
With Contact Areas Only
In this figure, machining is limited to the actual surfaces of the geometry.
