About the Process Table
The Process Table lists all the manufacturing process objects, such as workcells, operations, fixture setups, tooling, and NC sequences (steps). It lets you create new objects and modify properties of existing ones. You can also define manufacturing templates based on existing steps, and then use these templates to create manufacturing steps in a different model.
The Manufacturing Process Table dialog box contains the following menus, toolbar icons, and shortcut menus:
File Menu
• Export table (CSV)—Exports the current Process Table view in CSV format (as a comma delimited text file), which is a standard format for Microsoft Excel.
• Create Printable Version—Displays the current Process Table view in printable format in the Creo Parametric browser.
• Create Process Template—Lets you create a process template from the current process. You can use the process template to create the process in a new design model.
• Close—Closes the Manufacturing Process Table dialog box. The changes that you made to the Process Table after the last save operation are saved to the Process Table. These changes are not yet applied to the actual process. These changes are applied to the manufacturing process only after you click Features > Create Mfg Features for All Steps.
Edit Menu
• Extract Steps—Extracts manufacturing annotation from the reference part or assembly and creates the appropriate manufacturing process objects in the Process Table. The Mfg Template AE extraction dialog box opens. The Mfg Template AE extraction dialog box is available only if you have the Creo Parametric Complete Machining license.
• Cut—Cuts the selected steps from the Process Table.
• Undo Cut—After you cut steps from the Process Table, lets you place them back in the original position in the manufacturing process. Use this command if you cannot paste the steps at a location where you planned to, for example, because of a prerequisites conflict.
• Copy—Copies the selected manufacturing objects.
• Paste—Inserts the previously cut or copied objects below the selected line.
• Delete—Deletes the selected manufacturing objects. The deleted manufacturing objects cannot be restored.
• Lock—Locks the selected steps. Locked steps cannot be edited or deleted.
• Unlock—Unlocks the selected steps.
• Edit List of Related AEs—Lets you change the relation only in the manufacturing process, between an annotation element and a selected step.
• Edit Definition—Lets you edit the definition of the object selected in the Process Table by opening the tab of the selected object or workcell.
• Step Parameters—Lets you edit the step parameters.
• Parameters—Lets you create, modify, and delete local parameters and local relations.
• Merge—Lets you optimize the tool path by merging the selected Holemaking steps together. This command is available only if you have selected steps that satisfy the merge requirements.
• Gang Tool—Lets you optimize the tool path by grouping Holemaking steps together to use a multi-tool head.
• Same Behavior Group—Lets you optimize the tool path by defining groups of steps that use the same tool and parameters.
• Set OK status—Lets you change the status of the selected objects to OK. Setting an operation status to OK also sets the status for all the steps included in the operation.
• Find—Searches the Process Table.
View Menu
• View Builder—Lets you define custom views of the Process Table. You can select the process elements and parameters to be displayed and specify the column layout.
• Display Grid—Switches the table grid display on and off.
• Show Custom Labels—Displays custom labels for created for table columns.
Insert Menu
• Workcell—Lets you insert a workcell.
• Operation—Lets you insert an operation.
• Step—Lets you insert a milling step, a drilling step, a step from a template, an assembly step, or a fixture.
• Geometry Reference—Lets you insert a geometry reference such as a Mill Volume, Mill Surface, Mill Window, or Drill Group.
Tools Menu
• Custom cycle—Lets you develop your own drilling cycle syntax and associate this syntax with the actual motion of the cycle.
• CL Player—Lets you display the tool path of the selected operation or step.
• NC Check—Performs a dynamic simulation of material removal for the selected operation or step. You can also select multiple steps that belong to the same operation.
• Line Balancing—Starts the Line Balancing tool.
• Create Template—Lets you create a manufacturing template based on the selected step or steps.
• Process Graph—Creates a Process Graph.
• Global Parameters—Lets you create, modify, and delete global parameters.
• Global Relations—Lets you create, modify, and delete global relations.
• Synchronize Process—Lets you synchronize the previously exported .csv file data with the process table data.
• Mfg Criteria - UDF Files Setup—Lets you create, modify or delete UDF-manufacturing criteria name associations.
• Automatic Merge—Automatically merge holemaking steps to optimize the tool path.
• Create Auto Same behavior group for selected step—Automatically group steps with the same behavior for streamlining the modification of steps.
• Peck Table—Lets you create, modify, view, and delete peck tables.
Features Menu
• Create Mfg Features for All Steps—Lets you create sequence and workcell features in manufacturing model assembly and continue working with the Process Table.
• Delete Mfg Features—Deletes all the workcells, operations, and NC sequences from the Model Tree of the actual manufacturing process. This lets you apply the process as defined in the Process Table to a clean model. Exercise care when using this command; deleted features cannot be restored.
• Update Workpiece Instances—Creates workpiece instances containing the appropriate material removal features for each operation.
Manufacturing Process Table Toolbar Icons
• —Create a printable version of the current Process Table view.
• —Search the Process Table.
• —Display information about the selected manufacturing object in the Information Window.
• —Highlight references of the selected step.
• —Highlights the machine limits on the manufacturing model.
• —Cut the selected step from the Process Table and place it on the clipboard.
• —Copy the selected step and place it on the clipboard.
• —Paste the step from the clipboard below the selected line.
• —Delete the selected manufacturing object from the Process Table. If you delete an operation, you are prompted for confirmation to delete it and all its fixtures and steps. You cannot delete a workcell that is used in the process.
• —Lock the selected steps. Locked steps cannot be edited or deleted.
• —Unlock the selected steps.
• —Extract a manufacturing annotation from the reference part or assembly. The
Mfg Template AE extraction dialog box opens. This dialog box is available only if you have the
Creo Parametric Complete Machining license.
• —Create a manufacturing template based on the selected step or steps.
• —Insert a new workcell.
• —Insert a new operation.
• —Insert a new Milling step.
• —Insert a new Turning step.
• —Insert a new Holemaking step.
• —Insert new steps from a manufacturing template.
• —Insert a new fixture setup.
• —Insert a new Assembly step.

| When extracting steps from a saved template, the relations between parameters are resolved. If a relation cannot be resolved, stored value of the relation is applied, displaying a warning message. |
Workcell Shortcut Menu Options
A workcell in a Manufacturing Process Table contains the following shortcut menu options. These options are also available on the menu bar and toolbar of the table and are described under appropriate sections in this topic.

Manufacturing Process Table — Icons at the Bottom of the Table
The following icons are available at the bottom of the Manufacturing Process Table dialog box:
• —Edit the definition of the selected object. When you edit the definition of an object, additional icons appear on the bottom toolbar, depending on the object type.
• —Display the tool path of the selected operation or step.
• —Compute the time necessary to perform the selected operation or step.
• —Display the tool path and machine simulation for completely defined steps or operations.
• —Type a comment for the step or operation in the dialog box that opens.
