About Probe Cycles in Creo NC
Creo NC lets you access the on-machine probe functionality using the system-supplied APT syntax menus. In a typical scenario, you program point-to-point motions using Auxiliary NC Sequence type, and use Customize to add appropriate CL Commands to set up the probe and call the probing cycle. The probe itself is typically a sphere of specified diameter with a narrower shaft. The control point of the probe is the center of the sphere.
The following topics provide summaries of the probe cycles available, with the explanation of the couplets in the probe commands, a description of the motions and an example of the expanded motion which would be expected when the cycle is run on a machine.
