About Creating, Viewing, and Editing Multilingual Drawings in Creo Parametric
European languages, such as French, German, Spanish, and Italian, use single-byte encoding. Therefore, you can have drawing notes in one or more European languages in the same drawing. For example, you can have French, German, and English notes in a drawing, or you can have Italian and Spanish notes in a drawing.
Asian languages use different multibyte encodings for each Asian language. In an Asian session, the only other possible language in a drawing note is English.
You must have the correct fonts installed for any Asian or European language session for an accurate character display. Display errors from incorrect fonts are most noticeable in Asian languages.
When you run an English version of the application and work with a drawing containing both English (ASCII only) and Asian notes, the Asian notes display incorrectly, however, they do not corrupt. You can safely edit and save the file during the English session, and the Asian notes are maintained. When you then open the file in an Asian session for the application, all drawing notes appear accurately.

* If you edit Asian text while running the application in English, the Asian text will become corrupt.
