Layer Status in a Combination State
When you create a drawing view with a combination state, the layer status of the drawing view by default is set to the layer status of the model as defined in the combination state. For example, if you have set the display status of layer X in model A to HIDE, then when you create a drawing view for model A, the display status of the drawing layer X is automatically set to HIDE. Thus for a new drawing view with a combination state, the drawing layer status is the same as the model layer status. However, after you have created a drawing view with a combination state, the drawing layer status is not automatically updated if you go back and update the layer status of the model. In such cases, select the required combination state again for the drawing view using the Drawing View dialog box to update the drawing layer status.
Consider a model with one or more combination states which in turn have saved layer states. If you create one or more drawing views with combination states using the Shading display style, the shaded views in the drawing views are displayed distinctly as per the layer states defined in the combination states of the model.

If you set the value of the ignore_model_layer status Detail option to no, the layer status information stored with a selected combination state is ignored while creating a drawing view. Thus the layer status of each view in the drawing will be the same as the layer status of the model.
