To Create a Sketched Datum Curve
1. Perform one of these actions:
◦ To use a default sketch orientation, select a plane first, and then click Model > Sketch. The Sketch tab opens.
◦ Click Model > Sketch. The Sketch dialog box opens.
1. Perform any of the following actions to set up the sketch:
▪ To define the sketch plane, click the Plane collector, and then in the graphics window or Model tree, select a plane or surface reference. Alternately, to use the sketch plane and orientation settings of the last created sketch, click Use Previous.
▪ To toggle the sketch orientation between the two sides of the sketch plane, click Flip.
▪ To orient the sketch plane, click the Reference collector and select a reference that is normal to the sketch plane.
▪ To orient the direction the reference plane faces, select a direction from the Orientation list.
2. Click Sketch. The Sketch tab opens.
2. Sketch the datum curve.
3. Click OK.
