About Measuring Geometry
Use the Measure tool to measure a model or entities that you select within a model. You can measure the following measurement types:
All the types of measurements that are relevant for the selected reference entities, called Summary mode
Length of a curve, edge, or a chain of curves or edges
Distance and maximum distance between two entities
Angle between two linear entities
Diameter of a cylindrical or conical surface
Area of a surface, quilt, facet, or model, and total area
Volume of a model or closed quilt
Transformation matrix between two coordinate systems
After you measure, you can use the measurement by performing these actions:
Copy a measurement result so you can paste it
Save the measurement as a feature in the Model Tree
Save a measurement as a saved analysis
