To Save a Material from a Model to a Library
1. Click File > Prepare > Model Properties. The Model Properties dialog box opens.
2. Click change against Material. The Materials dialog box opens. The Materials in Model list displays the list of materials present in the model.
3. Select the material to save to the library directory from the Materials in Model list.
4. Click
. The
Save a Copy dialog box opens. Browse to the material library directory and click
OK. If you have added or edited appearances, the
Save dialog box opens.
5. Click OK. By default, the appearances are saved in a file named global.dmt in the same location where the material file is saved. You are taken back to the Materials dialog box.
