To Extend a Boundary Edge Loop to a Surface
1. Click Extend To Surface. Click an edge of a quilt to select its connecting boundary edge loop. A Live Toolbar appears.
2. Click to see the Floating Dashboard.
3. Select one or more target surfaces up to which you want to extend the boundary edge loop. You can click the arrow below Target surfaces in the Floating Dashboard, to see References. A handle appears along the selected target surface, denoting the direction of extension.
4. Select Keep target quilt to see the target quilt after extension. Alternatively, click if the Floating Dashboard is collapsed.
The target quilt is the intersection of the extending boundary edge loop and the target surface.
5. Click in the Floating Dashboard to flip the extending direction of the boundary edge loop. Or click the handle in the graphics window.
6. To preview a geometric solution, click or one or more times in the Solutions area.
7. Middle click to complete.
