To Create Circles
1. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to Circle, and then choose a creation method:
Click Center and Point and select a point for the center of the circle.
Click 2 Point and select the first point on the circumference to place the diameter.
Click 3 Point and select the first point on the circumference.
Click Tangent and select an arc, circle, ellipse, or line at the tangency point to set the first point on the circumference.
Click Concentric and select a circle or arc or the center point of a circle or arc as a reference for the center point.
When you select a creation method, the location of the start point is displayed, relative to the base point.
2. To display the diameter while you create the circle, click . To display the radius of the circle, click .
3. To lock the circle you are creating, press Enter or type L.
4. Drag the pointer and select a second point to set the size or the circumference of the circle. To set the second point for a tangent circle, select an arc, circle, ellipse, or line at the tangency point.
5. When creating 3-point or tangent circles, drag the pointer and select a third point to set the size or the circumference of the circle.
6. Middle-click to exit the tool.
