To Create a Linear or a Radial Pattern
1. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to Pattern, and then click Linear or Radial.
For a linear pattern:
1. The Linear Pattern tab opens. Select one or more entities to pattern.
2. Type a value or use the arrows to set the number of objects in a row.
3. Type a value or use the arrows to set the number of rows.
4. Drag the handles or type values in the live dimensions to change the incremental distance or the angle between objects.
For a radial pattern:
1. The Radial Pattern tab opens. Select one or more entities to pattern. A construction circle appears with the entity patterned about the circle. The default pattern uses three entities.
2. Click Clockwise or Counterclockwise to set the pattern direction.
3. Click Total to specify the total angle that the pattern forms.
Alternatively, click Increment to specify angular offset for each entity in the pattern.
4. Click the Rotate check box to rotate the result.
5. Specify the number of patterned entities.
2. Click or middle-click to complete.
