About Designing in the Creo Direct Environment
Designing in Creo Direct involves creating and working with parts and assemblies. Parts and assemblies open in their own windows as part and assembly files. Each type of file uses a distinct file extension, .prt and .asm, respectively, and uses different commands. To begin work in part or assembly modes, create or open a part or an assembly file. As a best practice, select a working directory before you start working with part and assembly files.
