Face parts allow you to design solid parts with complex surfaces in almost any shape. You can add complex surfaces to existing parts, or create a part starting from a complex surface.

Face parts can either consist of a single face or a combination of several faces. If the faces form a closed shell, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling will automatically convert the face part into a solid part.

All functions concerning the creation and modification of face parts are provided in the Surfacing menu of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling. The surface creation functions (for example, Skin, Cap, Gather) are available only if you have purchased a license for the Surfacing module.
