Set face properties
You can change the appearance, accuracy, and other properties of one or more faces on your model.
To change a face's properties,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Modify 3D group, click More.
2. Click Face in the Properties section.
3. Select a face in the viewport. The Face Properties dialog box opens.
4. To copy settings from another face, click Copy from.
5. The Appear tab includes the following properties:
Appearance: When Creo Elements/Direct Rendering is active, select whether the face displays a render material or a color and transparency.
Render Material: When Creo Elements/Direct Rendering is active, the menu indicates the name of the render material attached to the face. You can select from recently used render materials.
Click View to display and, if possible, edit the render material's properties.
Click Select and pick a material in the Creo Elements/Direct Rendering browser to assign a different render material.
Color: The color of the face. When a rendering material is attached to a face, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling automatically assigns a color to the face.
Transparency: The transparency level of the face. When a rendering material is attached to a face, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling automatically assigns the default transparency value to the face.
Reflect Color: When Creo Elements/Direct Rendering is inactive, select the color for the face to reflect.
Reflect Power: When Creo Elements/Direct Rendering is inactive, select the strength of the reflectance. As the reflectance power decreases, the reflectance color becomes more dominant.
Mirror Power: Set the mirror power value for a face of a part. If the mirror power value is None, the mirror power for the part is used. See Set part properties. If the mirror power for the part is also None, the global mirror power is used for that face. For Global Mirror Power, see Change viewport settings.
6. The Statistics tab includes the following properties:
Measure Properties: Detailed information about face's measurements, such as centroid and area.
Geometry Properties: Generates a report with the coordinates, origin, directions etc., of the face.
7. The Facets tab allows you to change the face's facet accuracy (graphical accuracy only).
8. Click Close when you are finished. Changes are applied as you change properties.
