Change assembly settings
You can change the names and other properties of one or more assemblies in your model.
To change an assembly's properties,
1. Click Structure and then, in the Part & Assembly group, click More.
2. Click Assembly in the Properties section.
3. Select an assembly in the viewport or structure browser. The Assembly Properties dialog box opens.
4. The Names pane includes the following properties:
Name: The part name displayed in the Structure Browser and becomes the instance file name when you save 3D Data files.
Model Name: The contents file name for the part when you save 3D Data files.
5. The Statistics pane includes the following properties:
Measure Properties: Click Report for detailed information about assembly's measurements, such as centroid and area. If you want a specific tolerance, click the Tolerance check box and enter a value.
Child Objects: Click Report for detailed information about assembly's child objects. Check the One Level box if you wish to limit the report to one level of child objects.
6. The Unique ID pane displays the following properties of an assembly, workplane, or a container under the Instance and Contents tabs:
SysID: SysID assigned to the instance or contents of the selected assembly.
Symbolic Data:
Name: Name of the instance or contents of the selected assembly.
Version: Version number of the instance or contents of the selected assembly.
Type: Type of version of the instance or contents of the selected assembly. The four different types of versions are:
Reference
ToReintegrate
Reintegrated
Load as Version
7. Click Close after you complete all your operations. Changes are applied as you change properties.
