Building an assembly structure
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling offers you flexibility in creating your assembly structure. One way to build an assembly structure is to create all your parts and then gather them into the appropriate assemblies. Assemblies can also be placed into other assemblies.
The other way is to create a complete assembly structure before you generate parts by naming and positioning the parts and assemblies in the structure. Of course, you can use any combination of these ways to match the way you work.
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling uses the idea of a hierarchical tree structure to organize parts into an assembly structure. You can view the structure of your assemblies in the Structure browser. This browser displays a hierarchical list of your parts, assemblies, and other elements in the model.
