Existing views can be renamed, rotated, scaled, deleted and moved. If a modified view is the owner of additional geometry or sketches, these are also modified accordingly.
In the commands below, you can select the views on which to act in one of the following ways:
• Enter the name and path of the view in the View data entry field.
• Click the view in the Creo Elements/Direct Annotation Viewport.
• Select the view in the Drawing Browser.
To rename a view,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Setup group, click the arrow next to Properties.
2. Click View.
3. Specify the view to be renamed. The View Properties dialog box opens.
4. Click the General pane.
5. Enter the new name in the Name data entry field.
6. Click Close when you are finished. Changes are applied as you change settings.
A view can only be renamed if the 3D model it was created from exists and is loaded in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling. Use the Drawing Browser to check this.
To rotate a view,
You can rotate an existing view. The value that appears in the Abs Angle box is the view's current absolute rotation angle. The angle you enter is absolute and measured from the positive x-axis.
Note that rotating a view also rotates additional geometry and sketches owned by the view.
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Setup group, click the arrow next to Properties.
2. Click View.
3. Specify the view to be rotated. The View Properties dialog box opens.
4. Click the General tab.
5. In the Angle box, enter the absolute angle of rotation.
