Create manual hatching by specifying a face
If the area you want to hatch is already surrounded by a border, you can specify this border and then the faces within it that are to be hatched. Creo Elements/Direct Annotation automatically hatches the faces within the implied boundary.
The faces that you can hatch in this way are not restricted to any owner. New hatching is owned by the object on which it is created. However, the selected faces must define closed regions.
To hatch a face,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click the arrow next to Hatch.
2. Click Face Hatch.
3. Click on the closed border of the face to hatch.
4. Click the inside the face.
This step is important when a selected border contains more than one closed area.
5. Continue hatching faces, or click to complete the operation.
