Set automatic placement parameters
Click File > Settings > Dimension > Dim Auto Place Settings to access the dimension automatic placement parameters. The Default Settings browser (table) opens with the Auto Placement settings. See the Description column for information on each setting.
You can change the following:
• Mode
You can set Mode to position dimension text on the drawing manually or automatically. The automatic mode is relevant to:
◦ The datum dimensioning types.
◦ Box-selected dimensioning.
• Position
• Dimension auto placement strategy settings
• Automatic dimension direction settings
• Min Space
• Datum Step
