Overview
ThingWorx Converge is a feature-rich and powerful product-aware vertical extension of ThingWorx. ThingWorx Converge offers the following features and capabilities:
- Centralized hub for real-time product data—ThingWorx Converge is a centralized hub for exchanging information among existing business systems and business processes. ThingWorx Converge enables companies derive new value and deliver innovation throughout the manufacturing value chain, and helps them take advantage of the IoT-enabled capabilities.
- Best-practices based data model for manufactured things—ThingWorx Converge includes a common, extendable data ontology based on best practices and lessons learned from a broad base of existing production customer deployments. It is specifically tuned to provide a comprehensive view of smart connected manufactured products.
- Out-of-the box data management utilities—ThingWorx Converge includes utilities to remotely monitor, access, update, automate, analyze, and monetize connected products and assets.
- A synergistic marketplace for applications and integrations—ThingWorx Converge provides a consistent framework on which application developers, system integrators, and technology providers can build a rich ecosystem of unique and reusable IoT applications and integrations that are distributed through the ThingWorx Marketplace.
Vision for the Technology Stack Offered by ThingWorx Converge
ThingWorx Converge is intended as a centralized hub for all information about connected products and services, as shown in the next diagram.
It can connect various enterprise systems and clients to extract and deliver information about a product, service, or customer,
and share that information with any applications that are connected with the platform.
