James E. Heppelmann
President and Chief Executive Officer

James (Jim) Heppelmann is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of PTC and is responsible for driving PTC’s global business strategy and operations. Previous to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Heppelmann served as PTC’s president and chief operating officer, responsible for managing the operating business units of the company including R&D, Marketing, Sales, Services, and Maintenance. He also serves on PTC’s Board of Directors.

Experience

Mr. Heppelmann previously served as executive vice president, software products, and chief product officer at PTC with responsibility for overall product direction, including coordination of PTC product vision and strategy, product design and development, and product marketing and management.

Mr. Heppelmann has worked in the information technology industry since 1985 and has extensive experience developing and deploying large-scale product development systems within the manufacturing marketplace. Prior to joining PTC, Mr. Heppelmann was co-founder and chief technical officer of Windchill Technology, a Minnesota-based company acquired by PTC in 1998. Before co-founding Windchill Technology, Mr. Heppelmann served as chief technical officer at Metaphase Technology. Mr. Heppelmann had worked at Control Data Corporation (now known as Syntegra) for seven years until the company formed Metaphase in 1992.

Mr. Heppelmann travels extensively to customer sites around the globe and speaks regularly at product development and manufacturing industry forums on topics such as the Internet of Things (IoT), PLM, and gaining competitive advantage through product development process improvement. He has also been published and quoted in numerous business and trade media, including The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg Television.

Mr. Heppelmann serves as a member of the national FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) executive advisory board, and is a member of the Dean’s advisory board at the University of Minnesota College of Science & Engineering.

Education

Mr. Heppelmann attended University of Minnesota, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on computer-aided design.

Jeffrey D. Glidden
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jeffrey Glidden is the executive vice president and CFO at PTC. In his current position, Mr. Glidden is responsible for PTC’s worldwide Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax and Treasury, Investor Relations, and Information Technology.

Experience
Mr. Glidden joined PTC from Airvana Incorporated where he served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer from 2005 - 2010. Prior to joining Airvana, Mr. Glidden was employed by RSA Security Inc., an e-security company specializing in user authentication systems and encryption technology, where he was Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Senior Vice President of Operations from July 2002 to December 2005. Before joining RSA Security, Mr. Glidden was Chief Financial Officer of Stream International, Inc., a provider of outsourced customer care services, from April 1997 to July 2002.

Education
Mr. Glidden holds a B.S. in industrial economics from Union College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Barry F. Cohen, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Strategy

Barry F. Cohen, Ph.D. is the executive vice president of strategy at PTC. In this position, Dr. Cohen is responsible for PTC’s corporate development, packaging and pricing, acquisition strategy, market strategy, and the cross-functional strategy council. Dr. Cohen also leads PTC’s customer support, global education, services partners and the human resources organizations.

Experience
Dr. Cohen joined PTC in January 1998 when PTC acquired Computervision. Prior to the acquisition, he served with Computervision for four years as senior vice president for human development and organizational productivity. Before joining Computervision, Dr. Cohen was the president of Possibilities Inc., an executive consulting firm specializing in organizational change and executive coaching, where he served for thirteen years.

Dr. Cohen has authored or co-authored several books on leadership and organizational change, including The Wellness Sourcebook, Ethical Leadership, Leadership Myths and Realities, and The Possibilities Economy: New Capital Development. He has also published many professional articles and a series of training manuals.

Education
Dr. Cohen earned his doctorate in logic and philosophy of science from the State University of New York @ Buffalo.

Robert D. Ranaldi
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Distribution

Robert “Bob” Ranaldi is executive vice president of worldwide sales and distribution at PTC. In this role he is responsible for driving PTC’s global direct and indirect sales channel strategies, increasing sales operational efficiencies and accelerating market growth.

Experience
Since joining PTC as a sales representative in 1998, Mr. Ranaldi has held a variety of sales leadership positions, both domestic and international, directly contributing to the company’s growth. Mr. Ranaldi most recently served as divisional vice president for PTC’s North American Commercial Business. He previously served as country manager in Northern Europe as well as vice president for PTC’s SMB business in North America.

Prior to joining PTC, Ranaldi was in sales at Boston Scientific Corporation.

Education
Mr. Ranaldi attended Westfield State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Anthony Paul DiBona
Executive Vice President, Global Support

Anthony (Tony) DiBona is the executive vice president of Global Support at PTC. In his current position, Mr. DiBona is responsible for PTC Global Support. He has been with PTC since 1998 and in that time has served as vice president, global business partner group, and vice president for major account sales.

Experience
Prior to joining PTC, Mr. DiBona served at Data General Corporation where he managed the U.S. Sales organization. Before joining Data General in 1989, he spent eleven years with Unisys Corporation.

Education
Mr. DiBona holds a master’s in business administration from Bentley University, where he also earned an undergraduate bachelor of science, business management degree.

Rob Gremley
Executive Vice President, Product Development & Corporate Marketing

Rob Gremley is executive vice president, Product Development and Corporate Marketing at PTC. In this role, Mr. Gremley has responsibility for providing leadership and oversight of PTC’s research and development organization and for executing PTC's global brand strategy, marketing campaigns and worldwide marketing operations.

Experience
Prior to his role in global marketing, Mr. Gremley was senior vice president of MCAD sales programs, responsible for developing and implementing sales programs focused on driving Pro/ENGINEER sales in the mid-market. Additionally, Mr. Gremley has served as vice president of global services, responsible for PTC's global services line of business, including consulting and education services.

Prior to PTC, Mr. Gremley was a design engineer at Kollsman Manufacturing Company.

Education
Mr. Gremley earned both a master of science and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1988 and 1986, respectively.

Brian Shepherd
Executive Vice President, Enterprise Segments

Brian Shepherd is executive vice president, Enterprise Segments at PTC. In this role, Mr. Shepherd has responsibility for the cross-segment leadership and financial management of PTC’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Service Lifecycle Management (SLM), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) market segments.

Experience
Prior to assuming the broader cross-segment leadership role, Mr. Shepherd led PTC’s PLM, ALM and SCM market segments with responsibilities including market analysis, solution definition, solution marketing, and strategic business and customer development activities. Mr. Shepherd previously served as executive vice president of product development for PTC. In this role, he was responsible for product management, design, development, testing, and delivery for PTC Windchill® product lifecycle management software and the PTC Creo® design and visualization family of products. Since joining PTC in 1996, Mr. Shepherd has held positions in product management for simulation products and the MCAD product portfolio. Prior to PTC, Mr. Shepherd served for ten years at Nortel Networks as a member of the scientific staff and a manager of product integrity.

Mr. Shepherd is a frequent speaker at industry events worldwide such as National Manufacturing Week, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Research Development and Design Expo, the Product Development Summit, the Innovation Leadership Summit and the Global OEM Automotive Meeting. He has spoken on the importance and future of product development and product lifecycle management to thousands of product development professionals around the world.

Education
Mr. Shepherd attended University of Michigan, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He also participated in post-baccalaureate studies in management science at North Carolina State University. Mr. Shepherd is a registered Professional Engineer.

Matt Cohen
Executive Vice President, Global Services and Partners

Matt Cohen is the executive vice president for global services and partners at PTC. In this position he is responsible for PTC’s consulting, training (PTC University) and managed service businesses. He is also responsible for worldwide services partnerships and alliances and the PTC global academic program.

Experience
Since joining PTC in 2001, Mr. Cohen has served in a series of leadership roles across the sales and services organizations. Within PTC's global services organization, Cohen has helped set sales, product and training strategy. He most recently led the company's worldwide consulting and training lines of business and oversaw the global team of delivery professionals responsible for ensuring clients realize value from PTC Solutions. Mr. Cohen also built and oversaw the rapid growth of the company's PTC University business.

Education
Mr. Cohen attended Harvard University where he earned a bachelor of arts in Psychology.

Michael M. Campbell
Executive Vice President, CAD Segment

Michael (Mike) Campbell is Executive Vice President, CAD segment at PTC. In this role, Mr. Campbell has responsibility for the leadership and financial management of PTC's CAD market segment including market analysis, solution definition, solution marketing, and strategic business and customer development activities.

Experience
Mr. Campbell most recently served as the divisional general manager, CAD segment at PTC. He was previously the divisional vice president of product development for the PTC Creo® design and visualization family of products, responsible for overseeing R&D and Product Management activities, including product strategy, requirements definition, software product delivery and quality.

Since joining PTC in 1995, Mr. Campbell has held several positions in development, product planning and technical marketing. Previous responsibilities encompass R&D and Product Management of the Arbortext product family and the Product Management of PTC’s desktop products, including creation, improvement, competitiveness and quality of Pro/ENGINEER®, CoCreate® and Mathcad®. He’s been involved in many aspects of planning, designing and developing specifications for improvements to Pro/ENGINEER, addressing the business requirements of discrete manufacturers. Prior to joining PTC, Mr. Campbell worked at GTech in the construction and redesign of prototype units.

Mr. Campbell has spoken at various product development and manufacturing industry events on topics such as creative product design, mechanical design and CAD/CAM software development.

Education
Mr. Campbell attended Boston University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Russell Fadel
President & General Manager, ThingWorx, a PTC business

Russell (Russ) Fadel is the president & general manager of ThingWorx™, a PTC business. In his current position, Mr. Fadel is responsible for driving ThingWorx’ ongoing business to help customers in a wide range of industries seeking to leverage the IoT, including telecommunications, utilities, medical devices, energy, agriculture, manufacturing, industrial equipment, and transportation, as well as an emerging partner network of IoT-enabled service providers.

Experience
Prior to its acquisition by PTC, Mr. Fadel was the CEO and co-founder of ThingWorx, a small but highly-innovative creator of an award-winning platform to build and run applications designed to leverage the “Internet of Things” (IoT). Prior to ThingWorx, Russ was the CEO and co-founder of Lighthammer Software Development where he was responsible for helping conceptualize and bring to market the world’s first application composition platform targeted at real time manufacturing. Russ successfully established Lighthammer as the recognized market leader in the manufacturing intelligence and application composition markets. Lighthammer was later acquired by SAP AG, the leader in enterprise business software.

Prior to founding Lighthammer, Russ also co-founded two successful companies that design, market, sell and implement manufacturing operations software and hardware.

Education
Mr. Fadel holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.

Aaron C. von Staats
Corporate Vice President, General Counsel

Aaron von Staats is corporate vice president, general counsel for PTC. In this position, Mr. von Staats is responsible for worldwide legal matters, including corporate governance, securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, technology licensing, litigation, employment, real estate and corporate maintenance.

Experience
Since joining PTC in 1997, Mr. von Staats has held various legal positions, including Vice President -- North American Counsel, Regional Corporate Counsel – North America and Senior Staff Attorney. Prior to joining PTC Mr. von Staats practiced for five years as an associate with the Boston law firm Palmer & Dodge LLP. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Paul J. Liacos, chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Mr. von Staats is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the New England Corporate Counsel Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He also serves as a board member of the not for profit organization, City Year.

Education
Mr. von Staats attended Boston College Law School, where he earned his juris doctor. He received a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Massachusetts.
