Repair Resource Allocation Policy
The repair resource allocation policy is based on a first-come, first-served (first-requested, first-used) basis. To avoid any ambiguous situations, the following guidelines are implemented:
• The first available repair team is allocated to the first requested (failed) component.
• If all of the required resources are never going to be available, then repair teams are not allocated. For example, if a component without replenishment has exhausted its spares pool, a repair team is not allocated to replace this component with a spare.
