Windchill Parts
When a
System file is created from a
Windchill PDMLink or
Windchill MPMLink product, the
System Tree Items table displays
Windchill end item and part icons. If the special
Global Attributes table is available, these icons are also shown in it. The icons for
Windchill end items and parts differ from those used for assemblies and parts that are inserted directly in the
System file. For more information, see
Assembly Versus Part.
When the Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software module installed, any Windchill part that is a software component displays a special Windchill software part icon.
In a System file created from a Windchill product, the Windchill menu is available if the active table supports integration functions. For example, when the System Tree Items table is active, you can modify Windchill settings, turn off and on the automatic check for updates to the Windchill product, manually check for updates, resync system tree items with the Windchill BOM, and view Part Information pages and thumbnails.
In the properties for a
System file created from a
Windchill product, Version Information
Windchill PDMLink or
Windchill MPMLink Settings is a display-only property. It indicates the
Windchill end part selected as the top-level system tree item and the saved expansion criteria selected for importing its BOM (bill of materials). For more information, see
Version Information System File Properties.
