The method for assigning a weight factor depends on the allocation method. The table below describes how the ARINC, equal apportionment by components, and equal apportionment by subsystems methods assign weight factors.

Method	Description
ARINC	A weight factor is assigned to each subassembly and/or part based on prediction calculation results. For more information, see ARINC Allocation Method Calculations.
Equal Apportionment by Components	A weight factor is assigned to each part based on the following equation: 100 / Number of Parts in the Entire System For more information, see Equal Apportionment by Components Allocation Method Calculations.
