Prediction FIDES Mission Profile File Overview

The FIDES Mission Profile file is a singular support file, which means only one occurrence of this file type can exist in the Project. This file is created when the Project is created. However, it is shown only if you have a FIDES license. Because a FIDES model requires that at least one profile always exists, it contains a default profile, Continuous Operation.

When a FIDES model is selected as the model for the top-most assembly, you can open the FIDES Mission Profile file and insert any number of additional profiles and phases. In the Calculation Data pane for the top-most assembly, for FIDES Mission Profile, you select the profile to use to calculate predicted failure rates. The first profile in the FIDES Mission Profile file is the default. To calculate reliability results, the phases, temperatures, cycles, and environmental factors for the selected profile are used.

The following table describes the two panes in the FIDES Mission Profile file.

Pane	Description
