Results Display Page
The Results Display page in the FTA Figure Style window specifies the calculation results to display in the text box for the selected gate or event style. For field and default label descriptions, see Gate Text Box Fields and Event Text Box Fields.

While you can view all results calculated for a gate on the FTA Results page in the Properties window, because of space restrictions in text boxes, you can display only one or two results in text boxes.

The following table describes the properties that appear under the Results display heading. For the different FTA calculation types, you can select no more than two results to display in text boxes.

Time Dependent and Lambda Tau
Under this heading, you select one or two results to display in text boxes for time dependent and Lambda Tau trees. If you select a result that is not calculated, or cannot be calculated for a Lambda Tau tree, then no result for this selection is shown in the text box.
◦ When Time Dependent is selected for Default FTA calculation type in the Project properties, Unavailability is selected by default. Because you can calculate all four results for time dependent trees, you can select any two for display in text boxes.
◦ When Lambda Tau is selected for Default FTA calculation type in the Project properties, Unavailability and Frequency are both selected by default. Only these two results are calculated for Lambda Tau trees.

Unreliability
|
When selected, the calculated unreliability at the primary time point appears in the text box.

|
Unavailability
|
When selected (default), the calculated unavailability at the primary time point appears in the text box.
|
||
|
Frequency
|
When selected, the calculated frequency at the primary time point appears in the text box.
|
||
|
Failure Rate
|
When selected, the calculated failure rate at the primary time point appears in the text box.

SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761
Under this heading, you select one or two results to display in text boxes for SAE trees. Two results are selected by default: Average probability per flight and Worst case probability per flight.

Average probability per hour
|
When selected, the average probability per flight hour of the event occurrence appears in the text box.
|
||
|
Average probability per flight
|
When selected, the average probability per flight of the event occurrence appears in the text box.
|
||
|
Worst case probability per hour
|
When selected, the worst case probability per flight hour of the event occurrence appears in the text box.
|

|
Worst case probability per flight
|
When selected, the worst case probability of the event occurrence per flight appears in the text box.
|
||
|
Mission probability
|
When selected, the probability of the event occurrence during the mission appears in the text box.

|
The following properties affect the way in which results display in text boxes and whether changes are to be applied to all styles.

Scientific notation always
|
Indicates whether results are shown in scientific notation. When this checkbox is cleared (default), results are shown in scientific notation only when the number of values is greater than that entered for its Precision in the Data Definition file. When this checkbox is selected, results are always shown in scientific notation, regardless of the number of values entered for its Precision.

Suppress trailing zeros
|
Indicates whether zeros are added to meet the number of digits entered for its Precision in the Project’s Data Definition file. When this checkbox is selected (default), zeros are not added.

|
Apply to all styles
|
When selected, the result display properties specified on this page are applied to all fault tree figure styles.
