FTA Custom Graphs
In addition to generating supplied FTA graphs, you can use the Graph Wizard to generate two types of custom FTA graphs for time dependent trees only.
|
Because results for various points in time are not calculated for Lambda Tau trees or SAE trees, generating custom graphs is not supported for these FTA calculation types.
|
The procedure for generating either of the two custom graphs for time dependent trees is basically the same. After FTA calculations have been run, you start the Graph Wizard and indicate the results to graph.
1. Select > . The Graph Wizard starts and displays the Load Graph Template page.
2. Select Create a custom graph and click Next. If the Select Module page appears, select FTA and click Next. The FTA Graph Type page appears.
3. Select the type of graph to generate:
◦ Gate calculation results by time point. When selected, graphs calculation results for a gate at each time point specified for FTA calculations. For time dependent trees, you specify both the number of data points and the primary time point under > in the
Calculate window. For more information, see
General Page.
◦ Display time results by gate/event. Graphs calculation results for a gate or event at the primary time point specified for FTA calculations.
4. Click
Next. The
Select Calculation page appears. The calculation results available depend on the selected graph type. For descriptions of the results that can be calculated, see
General Page.
5. For Data field, select the result to graph and click Next. The Graph Options page appears so that you can specify how the graph is to look.
6. Complete the
Graph Options page and the remaining pages to generate the graph. For more information, see
Specifying Graph Options.
Once you have completed the pages of the Graph Wizard, the Select the Gate to Graph window opens so that you can select the gate for which to graph the calculation results. While the active gate in the tree is the default, you can select any gate. Once you make a selection and click OK, the graph is generated.
If results cannot be graphed for some reason, a window opens, indicating why the graph cannot be generated. For example, the window might indicate that the result selected has not yet been calculated for the gate or that no results were found for the gate. Once you click OK to close this window, you can take whatever action is necessary to generate the desired graph.
