Key and Fault Equivalence Data Fields
In the
FMEA Design file,
Key and
Fault Equivalence Data columns provide for selecting the fields that you want to include in the
Project’s FMEA Fault Equivalence file. For more information, see
FMEA Fault Equivalence Files.
• In the Key column, you select as many as five FMEA fields to use as keys in the FMEA Fault Equivalence file. These fields are shown in the FMEA Key Definition pane of the FMEA Fault Equivalence file, where you insert criteria for copying FMEA data from this file into the active FMEA in the System file. If a field cannot be used as a key, the checkbox for it is unavailable. Such fields include, but are not limited to, identifiers, date fields, and memo fields.
• In the Fault Equivalence Data column, you select the FMEA fields in which to store the data to copy from the FMEA Fault Equivalence file into the active FMEA when the data that you enter in the FMEA matches the criteria for the key fields. You can select any number of fields. These fields are shown in the FMEA Fault Equivalence Data pane in the FMEA Fault Equivalence file, where you insert the FMEA data for the key selected in the FMEA Key Definition pane.
