Associated FMEA Control Plans Window
As described in
Special Fields for Associating Records with Control Plans, for any record in the
FMEA Tree Items,
FMEA Worksheet, or
Global Attributes table, a special field displays the number of control plans that are currently associated with the record. Clicking this field makes a browse button available. Clicking the browse button opens the
Associated FMEA Control Plans window.
All records in the FMEA Control Plans table are listed so that you can specify which to associate with the record. The first column, which is always Associated, contains a checkbox that indicates if the control plan is associated with the record.
• When the checkbox is selected, the control plan is associated.
• When the checkbox is cleared, the control plan is not associated.
You can click Select All or Clear All to select or clear all checkboxes and then customize your selections from there.
The only other default column in this table is Control Method. This field describes how the operation is controlled and should include work instruction numbers where applicable. If desired, you can use the Format Builder to insert additional fields from the FMEA Control Plans table. The name of the Table Format file for this table is Table Format (FMEA Control Plan Association).
In the table’s last row, clicking < Click here to insert a new record > inserts a control plan here and in the FMEA Control Plans table. This new control plan is automatically associated with the record. If desired, you can clear the checkbox for Associated to remove the association.
Above the table is a filter bar that you can use to filter control plans. For more information, see
Filter Bar for Filterable Tables. Additionally, at the top of the window, you can use the filter selection control to apply an existing filter for the
FMEA Control Plans table to this table. You can also click the button for the Filter Wizard to create and apply a new filter.
Additionally, you can right-click and select commands to perform many of the same operations that you perform on table records in the System file. For more information, see
Table How-Tos. While you cannot delete records from the
Associated FMEA Control Plans window, you can copy and paste them. When you perform these operations, the same operations are performed on the same records in the
FMEA Control Plans table.
For the behaviors exhibited when you delete, copy, and paste records with associations in FMEA tables, see the next topic.
